DAYTONA BIKE WEEK has for many years been the dream of many British bikers, and for the 1st time for over a decade, this is your opportunity to join in the Fun.
A whole week totally devoted to the World of bikes…
DAYTONA BIKE WEEK is an extravaganza.
Partying… Shows... Concerts... Events... Racing... Sunshine...
and above all 8 days devoted to BIKES. Each day the enjoyment level continues with over 300,000 bike fans from all over the USA congregating to worship the mean machines.
Departure dates.
We fly from GATWICK & MANCHESTER on SUNDAY 6th MARCH 2011 on the direct trans-Atlantic VIRGIN ATLANTIC flight to ORLANDO. On arrival, we clear all formalities before joining our coach transfer to DAYTONA BEACH, just 60 miles away and our Ocean-side hotel. Eventually we will have to depart DAYTONA BEACH, our return flight departs from ORLANDO early evening Monday 14th March arriving back at GATWICK & MANCHESTER on Tuesday.
Hotel.
Our beach-side location is perfect for an 8 night stay. The AKU TIKI Hotel is one of the most established and comfortable on DAYTONA BEACH and is just minutes away from Main street, the very hub of what goes on during BIKE WEEK. With over 300,000 visitors, hotel accommodation is always at a premium, and we are indeed fortunate to be so close to the main events. All rooms have 2 large double beds, so ideal for a family should you wish to make this a family vacation. Each room has a balcony, air-con, cable TV, fridge, telephone, microwave, coffee maker plus a hairdryer. There is a good bar, plus TRADERS restaurant on the property is ideal for breakfast and outside there is a large swimming pool.
MAIN STREET PARADES
and CARNIVALS.
Each day MAIN STREET has some amazing parades. It is packed with stalls selling everything associated with Biking. The famous daily MAIN STREET parade is spectacular, plus there are numerous major events happening in the immediate area. Along the 2 miles you will find many food stalls, displays, bike dealers and party events, along with the main shops, bars, clubs…it is “fun time” for everyone.
PLACES NOT TO MISS.
The world famous “CRUISIN CAFÉ” is open all day and most of the night with great Rock & Country acts. DIRTY HARRY’S features classic Rock from the 70/80’s with many top line acts appearing. Further down Main Street you have BANK & BLUES club one of the legendary watering holes of Bike Week.
The WORLD INTERNATIONAL MOTOR CYCLE SHOW lasts 3 whole days and features “Marketplace” the huge event specialising in accessories for just about every bike.
HARLEY DAVIDSON EXPO is a major draw and in its new location has acres of “Harley” merchandise with some of the incredible custom built bikes from all over USA. Also there are many seminars and experts on hand…truly a “Biker’s Paradise”
39th ANNUAL RATS HOLE CHOPPER SHOW. Possibly “The” event of Bike week, with hundreds of the most amazing custom built bikes. Here you will see the stand from “Orange County Choppers” who have featured on TV for the past 3 years.
RACING EVENTS.
BIKE WEEK also has some of the 2011 season openers at the massive DAYTONA INTERNATIONAL SPEEDWAY on the very edge of town. This incredible circuit is also a base for most of the events with major races at the end of the week. Many of the manufacturers offer the chance to “Ride the circuit” aboard some of the latest bikes. These must be booked in advance and are subject to availability.
DAYTONA 200 is the prestigious season opener on this huge banked track. With over 200,000 seats it’s always a sell out. The speeds and all round viewing are amazing… and held under lights it is a heart stopping race meeting.
AMA FLAT TRACK A new ¼ mile dirt track event featuring all the top stars in a meeting rarely seen outside of USA. Something very special.
DAYTONA SUPERCROSS…Top riders from all over the world race on a specially built circuit within the stadium complex.
SOMETHING SPECIAL….
KENNEDY SPACE CENTRE.
On Thursday 10th we will INCLUDING FREE OF CHARGE a chance to visit the huge KENNEDY SPACE CENTRE at TITUSVILLE, just 1 hour away. Here you will have a fully guided 2 hour tour of the whole complex. With all the Launch sites, an actual Lunar Module, the Space Shuttle, a massive Atlantis rocket, but also time to take in the amazing IMX experience, plus a detailed visit to “Launch Control”. This is an amazing day. And with all transfers/entrances FREE OF CHARGE we know that you will truly enjoy this superb experience.
