The Trip - Tour Code: SGP/GZW

FRIDAY 22 JUNE 2012
Our direct flights on the 2hr route to Poznan depart throughout the day and we expect to be at the tremendously popular 5 star Sheraton in comfort. Head to the main attractions of the city which are centred around Stary Rynek (the old square). The town hall and vendors’ houses are particularly beautiful and the bars and restaurants surrounding them compliment their splendour.

SATURDAY
GRAND PRIX DAY

We offer an optional three hour Poznan City excursion in the morning. There is plenty of time to enjoy a relaxing lunch and leisurely afternoon before we head off to the Edward Jancarz Stadium in Gorzow. The track record is held by Niels Kristian Iversen 59.65 The transfer time will be around 90 minutes. This is a fabulous new stadium with some amazing racing lines. After another spectacular Polish GP and given reasonable traffic we should be back at our hotel before midnight. The spacious Sports Bar in the Sheraton will be open serving food and drink until the hours start to get big, a re run of the GP will be shown on the big screen.

SUNDAY
POLISH LEAGUE MATCH

A Sunday after a GP is always a major Speedway day in Poland when all the major riders are still present in this “Speedway Crazy” country. We expect a full League programme, so please keep an eye on our “web pages” for our choice of meetings. Gorzow is well situated, with a huge choice of tracks at nearby ZIELONA GORA… GNIEZNO...BYDGOSZCZ... and even the superb stadium at TORUN is only 2 hrs away from our base. Monday 25 June 2012 Most of the morning free before our various flights back to Stansted, Doncaster, Bournemouth, Edinburgh and East Midlands (using Wroclaw airport with 2.5 hr transfer).
