Everybody loves our long weekend to ASSEN and AMSTERDAM. The quality of the racing on this fast, man made ICE circuit is second to none, and spectator facilities (all under cover) enable everyone to watch this classic meeting in comfort. This year we are featuring 3... yes..THREE great meetings. Add to that a night, and full day in AMSTERDAM, one of Europe’s most cosmopolitan cities, and you have a truly great weekend.
Friday 12 March
Around breakfast time, our NATIONWIDE series of Airports enable you to arrive in AMSTERDAM mid-morning in good time to meet with our coach transfer north towards the City of GRONINGEN. Our QUALITY accommodation will be at the MERCURE HOTEL, our base for many years, it has good standard rooms, and a friendly welcome is guaranteed. Later we leave for the evening’s racing at the superb ASSEN ICE STADIUM. All seats have been pre-booked, and the Stadium itself is fully covered for all fans.
Saturday and Sunday
Both mornings will be free for relaxation, shopping and sightseeing in the lovely city of GRONINGEN. Stroll around the quiet cobbled streets and maybe enjoy lunch in the inexpensive local bars. Saturday nights racing on the man-made floodlit track is always of the very highest quality and the place is always packed to the rafters.
On Sunday the racing takes place in the early afternoon and again the Stadium is always packed with fans from all over Europe.. Around 5.00pm we leave ASSEN making our way back to AMSTERDAM, checking into our City centre RHO HOTEL close to the exotic Damrack, and all the delights for which AMSTERDAM is so famous!! Everyone always enjoys the full, fun-packed and exotic nightlife in this most exciting of cities. AMSTERDAM has something for everyone, so enjoy your evening!!
Monday 16 March
A full day to enjoy the sights, sounds, and atmosphere of this exciting City. Our holiday includes the transfer back to AMSTERDAM SCHIPHOL AIRPORT. All flights depart from AMSTERDAM late afternoon/early evening, arriving back at your local Airport just over an hour later. Times for individual Airports will be advised when booking.
