The Trip - Tour Code: CCW/POL

THURSDAY 7 JUNE 2012
Our direct flights depart early on Thursday morning for the direct journey to Southern Poland. Transfer to our City Centre base should be around 45 minutes. The Old Town Square is possibly the most attractive in Poland, full of restaurants, cafés, bars and magnificent old buildings. On Thursday afternoon we will be transferring to OPOLE...approx 180kms on motorway, where we plan to take in the World Under 21 team championship at this totally new track to us. Here POLAND will host the round which will include ENGLAND.DENMARK and SLOVENIA..so something totally different for everyone.

FRIDAY
We are leaving most of the day free for your personal enjoyment and relaxation. KRAKOW is a city steeped in history from the middle ages, through various renaissances and as a UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE City the centre has been faithfully retained. We will be arranging a FREE 3hr Krakow City Tour for those interested in understanding this capital of Silesia. This tour will have an English speaking guide.

SATURDAY
Today we will be taking in a memorable and moving day to AUSCHWITZ and later the SALT MINES. This optional full day is something you should not miss. AUSCHWITZ is an hour away and with its dreadful history it is a monument to a time when Poland was under Nazi control, the memory will stay with you for years. Later we head off to the SALT MINES where everything has been superbly constructed from huge salt deposits, the ingenuity is staggering.

SUNDAY
Ample time to enjoy a morning in theCity square before we leave for a lateafternoon POLISH LEAGUE match at one of the many nearby tracks. This is a major SPEEDWAY DAY and hopefully we will be spoilt for choice. Close by is the EXTRA LEAGUE team at TARNOW, also CZESTOCHOWA, and even the industrial city of RYBNIK, or KRAKOW itself which has a lower league team. Once we know the fixtures we will advise you on our regularly up-dated web page. Monday 11 June 2012 Time to depart KRAKOW after a very busy and enlightening long weekend in Southern Poland. Our various flights leave late afternoon on the 2hr journey back.
