All the World’s very best Grass/Longtrack racers meet here in France to race on the floodlit 3-corner track on a surface which produces incredible racing. With a safety fence, many racing lines, amazing speeds and a party atmosphere that goes on it has a totally unique atmosphere. If you don’t believe us then talk to the riders themselves, they never want to miss this unique event.
Monday, 12 July
Our direct flights to BERGERAC leave STANSTED-GATWICK-SOUTHAMPTON and LIVERPOOL (departs Tuesday 7.00hrs), mid morning arriving in this beautiful part of France just after lunch. We will be staying in BERGERAC itself, which is a lovely city full of charm and history. BERGERAC is truly magnificent and as we are in mid summer the weather in this DORDOGNE area is superb. You will see medieval towns and Chateaux everywhere and with the region steeped in history, this will make for a wonderfully “different” destination.
Tuesday
BASTILLE DAY is on Wednesday and is the main FRENCH holiday celebration and everyone is out to enjoy themselves. However on Tuesday all roads lead to MARMANDE and we will be arriving early evening so that you have plenty of time to enjoy the incredible atmosphere. We are in PEAK SUMMER where it is usually hot and extremely atmospheric. We cannot recommend this tour enough; it really is a wonderfully different experience.
The racing on this boarded track, with its 3 corners, is spectacular. All the World’s top Longtrack riders rate this as their favourite meeting of the year, and the whole event is a massive celebration all linked in with Bastille Day. It is always very hot in this area of mid-France and that is the main reason why the racing starts so late in the evening.
Racing normally finishes after midnight, with a GIGANTIC FIREWORK display and we do not expect to be back at our hotel until the early hours.
Wednesday
BASTILLE DAY is when the whole of France celebrates the “Revolution” and the atmosphere is one of families enjoying themselves. The old town square in BERGERAC is a magnificent spectacle, with flowers, bunting and festivities everywhere. The whole town is out enjoying themselves, none more so than late in the evening when there is a gigantic Fireworks display by the banks of the river. Truly a day to remember.
Thursday 15 July
It will have been an extremely late night after the festivities so plenty of time to enjoy a relaxing breakfast before we head off for BERGERAC Airport and our flights back from Central France to your local airports.
