ITALY 2009 was possibly one of the very best destinations in a very busy year. A superb hotel, close to all shops, restaurants, bars and cafés LIDO di JESOLO provided a superb base to suit everyone. Wonderful late summer weather saw many clients swimming in the pool and the Adriatic, before enjoying a cappuccino in the beach side café. We were 100% full on a wonderful weekend of fun, laughter, sunshine and speedway.
Friday 24 September
Our vast range of flights leave the UK during the day for the short direct journey across Europe, the Alps and arriving at Treviso and Venice Marco Polo less than 2hrs later. Journey time to our super 4 star hotel will be around 1hr, and given fine weather, you could soon be swimming in the pool, or relaxing on the private beach just 50 metres from the hotel before strolling along to one of the many local restaurants.
Saturday
Lido de Jesolo is a busy, thriving, cosmopolitan resort, with a huge range of designer shops, relaxing cafés and restaurants, all within easy reach of the hotel. The resort stretches for some 12kms along the coast, and the main centre, just minutes away has everything for your holiday weekend.
We leave late afternoon on the journey (around 2hrs) for the Terenzano stadium. The track is well suited for competitive racing and with good viewing, it is a fine addition to the calendar. The immediate area is somewhat isolated, but with excellent motorway routes, our journey should have us back in the resort just before midnight.
Sunday
Our resort is only 30 minutes from VENICE, and for those who have never experienced this wonderful city, we will be arranging an (optional) whole day excursion direct from the hotel. The excursion includes a cruise across the huge bay on a private boat.There is nothing better than enjoying lunch by the Bridge of Sighs, or a relaxing cappuccino in St Marks Square.
You may just wish to enjoy the last rays of summer sunshine or maybe sunbathe on the hotel’s private beach, a swim in the pool, or even the sea, before another evening in the hotel restaurant, or nearby restaurants.
Monday 27 September
Enjoy the last few hours in this lovely area, before we head off back to Treviso and Marco Polo Airports and your flights back to the reality of autumn in the UK!!
